Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in South Carolina, seeks a full-time BC/BE OBGYN Physician to be general Academic Specialist at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Responsibilities include clinical practice with involvement in the clinical education of medical students, physician assistant students, and OBGYN residents. The clinical inpatient practice is supported by Hospitalists who cover evening labor and delivery calls.

The Prisma Health Richland Hospital campus has a fully staffed Level III NICU, 16 active labor rooms, and three operating rooms in the labor and delivery suite. We delivery more than 7,000 babies on an annual basis and serve a diverse patient population across 10 counties in the midlands of South Carolina. Our inpatient facility serves as the primary clinical site for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine–Columbia.

Prisma Health–Midlands currently employs more than 500 physicians who deliver care across 12 clinical campuses. As a teaching hospital, we train the next generation of physicians and host 31 residency and fellowship programs and a 4-year medical education program with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine–Columbia. We are a designated Level I Emergency Trauma Center and have a separate research facility.
